My name is James Greenaway and I am a Qualified, Registered Reiki Practitioner, Hypnotherapist & Mind Coach based in Nottingham.

I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, remove obstacles, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. The therapy users your own mind, body and spirit to help assist your bodies naturally self healing.

My Hypnotherapy Journey

I first started studying counselling while I was working as a volunteer for a charity, supporting vulnerable adults and teenagers on a variety of issues. After completing a training course on counselling skills, I came to a point in my life where I had a choice as to what area of psychotherapy I pursue. After much consideration I decided to go into Hypnotherapy. I chose this path so I can help change peoples behaviours by working directly with their mind, to achieve results and work towards positive life changes.

I started studying Hypnotherapy by doing a professional hypnotherapy training course. I then wanted to extend my knowledge so I invested in a year long, in depth clinical hypnosis & mind coaching diploma, to bring me upto the National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy.

My Reiki Journey

Previous to this I was already working in alternative therapy as a Hypnotherapist & Mind Coach. While pursuing this career, I was drawn to Reiki, and found it to be really beneficial, so I decided I wanted to go into it deeper and become a Reiki Practitioner.

I attended a Reiki Academy in Nottingham to begin my journey by doing level 1 Reiki. After successfully completing this course, after a while, I went onto do the level 2 course which is needed to be a practitioner. By learning Reiki, it allowed me to rediscover myself and my body, and I have noticed positive change both emotionally and physically.

I have helped many clients with problems such as Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Stress, Fibromyalgia, Carpul Tunnel, Aches & pains, Arthritis, High Blood Pressure,Confidence, Grief, Sleep disorders, People who have undergone transplants (kidneys etc), people living with cancer and pregnant mothers, amongst other conditions.

I attend monthly Reiki share meeting groups with other Reiki Teachers & Practitioners to keep up with the changes and new experiences, and also to keep my Reiki energy levels refreshed.

I love all aspects of Reiki & Hypnotherapy and offer help to clients from all backgrounds with a wide range of issues. Reiki & Hypnotherapy is available at 2 therapy centres in Nottingham. Hypnotherapy can also be delivered online

James Greenaway is registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) which is regulated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) & the Professional Standards Accredited Register. James is also verified by the Reiki Council.

This means I meet the National Occupational Standards for Reiki & Hypnotherapy, plus the educational standards for professional practice set by the Reiki Council & the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. For clients, it demonstrates that I have the experience, knowledge, skills and understanding to run a professional Reiki & Hypnotherapy practice and that my Reiki lineage and qualifications have been checked.
