Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner & Hypnotherapist

My name is James Greenaway, and I am a qualified and registered Sports Massage Therapist, Hypnotherapist, and Reiki Practitioner, based in Nottingham.

My aim is to help individuals heal, restore balance, and reconnect with their inner strength. I do this by providing a calm, neutral, and safe space where you feel listened to and supported. Every treatment is tailored to you, working with your own mind, body, and spirit to support your body’s natural ability to heal itself.

My Massage Journey

I became a sports massage therapist through a genuine passion for helping people recover from injuries and regain their strength, mobility, and confidence. I’ve seen first-hand how pain and restricted movement can affect daily life, mental wellbeing, and independence.

My goal is not just to relieve discomfort, but to support rehabilitation, improve movement, and help clients return to the activities they enjoy—whether that’s sport, work, or everyday life.

My Reiki Journey

Alongside my work as a hypnotherapist and mind coach, I was naturally drawn to Reiki. After experiencing its benefits personally, I decided to deepen my understanding and become a Reiki Practitioner.

I trained at a Reiki Academy in Nottingham, completing Reiki Level 1, followed by Reiki Level 2, which qualifies me to practise professionally. Reiki has helped me reconnect with my own body and wellbeing, and I have experienced positive emotional and physical changes as a result—benefits I now pass on to my clients.

I regularly attend monthly Reiki share groups with other Reiki teachers and practitioners, allowing me to stay connected, refreshed, and up to date with ongoing developments in Reiki practice.

I am an approved practitioner with the Reiki Council, meaning my practice meets the high standards of client care recognised by the NHS.

My Hypnotherapy Journey

My journey into hypnotherapy began while I was volunteering for a charity, supporting vulnerable adults and teenagers with a wide range of challenges. During this time, I completed formal training in counselling skills, which gave me a strong foundation in therapeutic support.

As I considered which area of psychotherapy to pursue further, I was drawn to hypnotherapy for its powerful ability to create meaningful and lasting change. I chose this path so I could help people work directly with their mind to change behaviours, overcome challenges, and move towards positive life changes.

I completed professional hypnotherapy training, followed by an in-depth, year-long Clinical Hypnosis & Mind Coaching Diploma, bringing my practice up to National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy.

I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
